Business Days Calculator
Count working days (Monday–Friday) between two dates, excluding weekends.
How to use this calculator
- Enter the start and end dates.
- The count excludes weekends. The start date itself is not counted; the end date is — matching how most 'within N business days' promises are interpreted.
How it works
The calculator walks each calendar day in the span and counts Mondays through Fridays.
Public holidays are not excluded — they vary by country, state, and even employer. Subtract any holidays that fall on weekdays inside your range.
Worked example
A payment is due within 10 business days of Friday, July 31, 2026.
- 1Count Mon–Fri days starting Aug 3 (the following Monday)
- 2Aug 3–7 = 5 days, Aug 10–14 = 5 days
10 business days lands on Friday, August 14, 2026.

Frequently asked questions
Are public holidays counted?
Yes — the calculator cannot know which holidays apply to you. Subtract weekday holidays from the result yourself.
Is Saturday ever a business day?
Not in this calculator. Some industries (logistics, retail) treat Saturday as a working day; add those manually.
